When I think of Susie, I always think "Susie of the Flowers". In my mind, she grows all kinds of things and loves the earth they grow in. She will say things like..."I just came in from picking plums..."

She loves her family, the simple earth and the peace it can bring, kind of like her jewelry...Made with precision and detail it reflects our earth. Sort of like her beadwork. Smaller uniform beads are Japanese "Miyuki Delicas" size 11 The other beads that are a little rounder and more uniform.They are called "Toho" (also from Japan). Both are a type of glass bead.

So, when I think of Susie, it's with a bouquet of dahlias in one arm surrounded by sparkling Japanese beads ...
